Landlords, letting agents, and property owners are legally required to obtain a Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) every 12 months. This ensures that all heat-producing gas appliances within the property are operating safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with UK regulations.
If you manage or own a residential rental property, this certificate is essential. A CP12 is also issued whenever a Gas Safe-registered engineer installs a new gas appliance in the home, providing a clear record of safety and compliance.
